Paul Myers, Managing Director and Chairman
Paul Myers is a seasoned Project/Program/Change Director with over 30 years of experience across the transport, utilities, telecommunications and IT industries at operational, project and program level within Australasia. Paul has been pivotal to the success of many high profile landmark Complex Infrastructure programs.
Paul is a thought leader on best practice involving project governance, realising stakeholder value and PMO’s having written a number of White Papers and developing leading edge PMO tools and technologies.
Paul holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical & Electronics) degree, is a member of the PMI and AICD and held the position of Associate Director at Price Waterhouse Management Consultants prior to establishing the Caravel® Group. |

Dave Rushton, Director
Dave Rushton is a talented and seasoned Program Director / Project Manager with 15 years experience in business enhancement and transformation projects, and particular expertise in ICT, defence, utilities and rail industries. Dave’s skills are in demand at portfolio and program level where his detailed system and process knowledge coupled with his business strategy contribute to successful outcomes.
His credentials include the role as Change Manager for Energy Australia where he delivered organisational transformation, and Programme Manager for Thales Australia for the Review of its Protected Mobility Systems and PMO establishment.
Previous change management roles include Director Business Processes for Raytheon Australia.
Dave holds a Bachelor of Engineering (electrical) and a postgraduate Diploma in Management. He operates from Caravel’s Sydney office and is an integral part of Caravel’s leadership in Australia. |

Warren Hall, Co-founder and Director
Caravel® co-founder and Director Warren Hall is a tremendously skilled project management expert with high-level facilitation and commercial negotiation skills. Warren has a superb track record in the management of major programmes and projects and business consultancy.
He has particular expertise in organisational change and has managed a number of business integration projects (Netway Communications/Telecom NZ; Netlink/Telstra NZ) as well as developing organisational structures and operational models for the Public sector (ACC, Ministry of Health). He has delivered numerous major projects such as the establishment of a broadband fibre-optic network for United Networks and its associated line of business. As a strategic thinker and highly regarded project leader he adds value to complex projects within the organisational, knowledge and technology spectrum, in the private and public sector alike.
He holds an honours degree in engineering and has held a number of senior positions in technology based services organisations, including Pricewaterhouse and Telecom NZ. Warren is a member of PMI, a qualified PRINCE 2 practitioner and Quality Auditor; and is based in Wellington.

Pat Thorn, Managing Director
From an early background in telecommunications engineering and audit work, Pat Thorn has honed his skills during his long career in the project management environment. A born diplomat and strategist, Pat’s input is highly valued for sensitive and complex programmes that require multi-faceted capabilities of delivery, discretion and governance in equal measure.
His track record includes the management of the Project Management Office for NZ Police, including monitoring of the Police’s most significant projects. He has carried out independent Quality Assurance assignments for major government initiatives including the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and the Ministry of Justice.
Pat holds an honours degree in Electrical Engineering and PMP Certification. He oversees the New Zealand operations of the group from his base in Wellington and plays a leading role in Caravel’s coaching and mentoring programme. |

Jim McMahon, Director
Auckland based Caravel® Director, Jim McMahon, has more than 20 years experience in senior and executive roles in the telecommunications sector where his programme management skills are in great demand. With an entrepreneurial mind-set and a penchant for business development, his achievements include a telecommunication start-up and the development and marketing of innovative terminal equipment products to Telstra and other telecommunication service providers throughout Australasia and Asia. Among his responsibilities were the development and implementation of new processes for fixed and mobile digital networks.
He has previously held senior management roles with Sales Technologies, Open Networks, New T&T Hong Kong and Telecom NZ.
Jim holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) and a Master of Business Administration. |
